In the PanAfrican Village at the Youth Tent

Today was my last day at the Youth Tent in the Pan African Village at the New York State Fair.  We had a great turn out!  So many creative mudcloths.  I am so glad so many people came out to try painting with mud today!  Take a look at the wonderful artwork!

This cloth was made by Kitty who helped me with my workshop.
She learned how to do mudcloth so well that she was able to get
students working on their cloths while I was helping other students.

I was able to do a little painting myself.

This is Kitty's cloth with her final application of mud.
Looks great!  I am so proud of her as an artist and
for helping me for the last two days.

This young man made a mudcloth heart for his Mom.

Vanessa had time to make another mudcloth  for her to use in her artwork.

Here is the mudcloth heart made by the young man who loves his mother
very much.  His Mom told me that he loves to make her thing all the time.

These hearts were made by a mother and daughter
on their way to get something to eat.   They chose
to stop by and paint with us first!
